lol, The thing about "Friends" is... well, I don't know where to start with the show anymore because it's become so weird. And not just because of R/J. I don't know about you, but C/M has always bored me to absolute tears. They're just .. eh, I don't know. And it always seemed a little ironic that four out of six friends would pair up. If C/M hadn't paired, I think it would be interesting to go from R/R to R/J and have that stick (though I still would've been pro-R/R). But C/M but a roadblock right in the middle of that, because it's just too ironic for anything like that to happen anymore, IMO.

But now, Phoebe has someone, Chandler and Monica are tied, and they're going to have to end it in a really odd way. Either all three of the rest end up alone, Ross and Rachel are together and Joey's alone, or Joey and Rachel get together and Ross is alone. Unless they introduce a sudden love interest for Ross or Joey. Which, of course, is pretty much what they did with Phoebe and Mike. Gah. This show is just so not worth getting into this much anymore. I miss the old seasons.

Ah, the J/R fans .. you just wait. You can have your taste now, but I will laugh in the face of you in twenty-six years, when the Friends TPTB finally decide to end the show and we go out with a R/R bang [and barely pay any notice to the rest of the characters]!

;)

Or, something insulting to the TPTB of "Friends." ::nods::

Like everybody says, the show is called "Friends" not "Couples". I believe it should end with everyone single, but that isn't gonna happen, so why not R/J? ;)

Ross should get togheter with someone else and then split up, IMO, because he has to be the divorced guy. ;) I mean, every show ends with a marriage or a happy moment. Friends should, no, it has to be different.

You mean, that's not a good reason? ;)

Even if they don't go with R/J... I'm still going to apperciate them more, mostly thanks to Joey. I just love how, in the end of S8, he was very willing to push his feelings for Rachel aside, for the sake of her marrying the father of her child.

I'm with you. Remember when he was there to help her when she was pregnant? He took care of her, he knew her and he gave up his love to let R/R be happy. That's so sweet.

I think that would make too much of a joke out of his character, and kind of flop the last season, and ultimately the show. ::looks::

Do you mean Friends shouldn't end with something happy? ... I think it needs to end on happier note because it's a sitcom, but this show is different because of the theme. Six people on an orange couch in a cafe in New York. Why don't they end it with something simple like that? .. Well, one, it's uneventful... though they'll probably spend the last 2.3 minutes there.

I cannot stress how much M/C bore me to death. If they'd kept R/R (or R/J, if it were the original) and not started M/C, the show would be a lot better IMO. M/C provoked all of the dumb pre-wedding stories, and a lot of the lifeless ones that occupy an extra eight minutes of the show now. Gag. ::looks:: I think the R/J twist is just stupid. Not because it's Joey, either. If it had started out R/J and all of a sudden Ross saw her in a different light and it got THAT serious, and THAT late in the show, while the girl was having Joey's baby .. I would still despise the show as much as I do now. I think that's a very, very not-so-smooth move on their part.

Cough.

No, I meant it doesn't have to be a life changing moment, like marriage or a birth. I wanted just the six of them sitting on an orange couch (as you said) talking about nothing.
